  • This Italian pasta consists of medium-sized, flat-cut tubes with spiraling ridges on the outside (elicoidali is Italian for "helix"), hence does a good job of holding sauces. A medium sized tube pasta similar to penne or rigatoni, the ridges on the surface of elicoidali are slightly curved around the tube, rather than straight as on penne/rigatoni. The durum wheat semolina upper combined with the drying method guarantees a porous texture, ideal for capturing the most varied seasonings.

  • Ideal for pasta salads, thick sauces, such as cheese-based sauces, and casseroles. As it can hold onto sauces very well, it is great with any type of sauce - from meat sauces with fish to vegetarian option!
