Spighe Molisane

  • Trofie is a traditional pasta variety native of Liguria (also where Pesto was first created) in Northwest Italy yet renowned and enjoyed all around Italy. This pasta is around 5cm long, thick twisted strands that remain quite chewy when cooked.

    Trofie pasta produced by Spighe Molisane are crafted using selected durum wheat semolina from the top Italian countryside. Since they are very hard it is advisable to cook them 5 minutes longer than the cooking time on the packaging to have better results!

  • The shape and size of trofie pasta means that it holds sauces very well and particularly works great with chunky pasta sauces. While the best way to eat Trofie is with Sicilian pesto or Genovese basil pesto, they are also excellent with a good tomato-based sauce

  • Please keep product in a dry and cool environment. Since our products are crafted from fresh ingredients free of preservatives, please keep it tightly sealed upon opening the packet and consume within 18 months of manufacturing date.
